Solar Eclipse and Saturn into Pisces
Greetings all!
At this point one might have to be living under a rock to not have heard about all of the major planetary shifts occurring in both the sidereal (Vedic) and tropical (Western) zodiacs. Of course, here I will focus on the Vedic Astrology happenings.
This solar eclipse begins on March 29th at 1:50 am PDT-5:43 am PDT, with the culmination moment at 3:47 am PDT. To adjust for your time zone you would calculate your locations difference from Pacific Time. Though the window is big, that culmination moment and a short window of both sides of that time is the most important for eclipse observations.
While ‘only’ a partial eclipse, this eclipse has a lot of power. The main reason is that it involves 7 of the 9 planets of the zodiac- 6 through placement and 1 through house exchange. Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Rahu, Saturn and Jupiter! What this indicates is that many areas of life have the potentiality to be impacted by this upcoming eclipse.
The sign that all of this occurs is Pisces, which means that whatever house that is for you in your birth chart will be the area of life that is impacted most. There are multiple other factors at play as well that are dependent on our charts- planets in Pisces, the time period we are running, and our location in the world to name a few.
For the sign of Pisces one of the most important factors is the state of our mind and the state of our consciousness. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac which represents the culmination and going out of this world, whether literally or figuratively.
Beyond leaving the physical body, we can leave this world primarily in two ways. One is through the transcendent or the spiritual experience, and the other is through escape and disassociation. Both are possible in these days- what will you choose?
Eclipses are said to magnify everything, so it becomes even more important to stay conscious and not escape in all the ways, even the socially acceptable ones like screens and food. The ideal action in an eclipse is always mantra or meditation, and as Pisces represents the spiritual experience this is a most important eclipse for spiritual practice. If we can not do that then at very least avoiding negative actions is strongly encouraged! Try not to react or make big life altering decisions in these next days.
Just a couple hours after the eclipse Saturn joins this pile of planets in Pisces. Saturn changes signs every 2.5 years so his station into another sign is a big deal and has impact. Saturn is the planet of hard work and personal responsibility, and wherever he impacts is the area of life that we need to pay the most attention to in this upcoming cycle, and perhaps restructure the way we approach it.
For example, if Pisces is your 10th house these next 2.5 years may call for a focus and up level in your work. If Pisces is your 5th house perhaps parenting may feel more difficult, or you need to set boundaries with and give more responsibilities to your children. If Pisces is your 6th house these next years may produce a health issue that makes you take your health more seriously and make improvements.
How this transit affects you personally is best seen in a private session.
Do reach out if you would like to explore this.
Right after this Saturn transit and eclipse begins Chaitra Navaratri, the spring 9 nights festival of Maa Durga. May Maa’s grace usher us all into brighter and more hopeful days!
Love and Blessings for a smooth eclipse,
