Akshaya Tritiya blessings! This year Akshaya Tritiya will be celebrated on May 10th, but the window of this lunar phase began around 4 pm pacific time on May 9th. Akshaya Tritiya is an important day in the Hindu calendar known for its auspiciousness and the potential for immense blessings.

The word Akshaya means ‘eternal’ or ‘imperishable’, and Tritiya refers to the third day of the bright half of the lunar cycle. It is said that the actions you perform on this day are ‘never diminishing’ and that any positive actions performed on Akshaya Tritiya give benefits and blessings.

The indicated actions of Akshaya Tritiya are basically anything you wish to increase.  In the material world it is known for a day to buy gold, land or investments.

Giving donations to charity is also very indicated, said to give merit to the giver and also expand the gift to the receiver.

Fasting on Akshay Tritiya is said to increase longevity and improve health.

And of course it is a day for puja and mantra.  Most commonly it is a day to worship

Vishnu, Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, or any deity that is special to you. Seek their blessings for prosperity, success, and happiness, and that you may be able to share it with others.
