Tomorrow’s new moon falls in the sign of Scorpio and the lunar house of Anuradha.  In the pacific coast of the US this moon begins at 8:14 pm tonight and lasts until Wednesday at 10:47 pm

New Moons are always more vulnerable times.  The moon represents our security and mental well-being.  When the moon is new it is not giving off enough light to offer support.  It is not a time for starts as the moon is what sustains our endeavors.

In Scorpio, the moon feels extra fragile.  Scorpio is a hidden sign where the darker parts of our being manifest- our vulnerabilities, fears, anxiety, addictions- the parts of self where many do not like to look.  It is a place of transformation because only through looking at these aspects of self can we begin to confront and ultimately change them.  So while filled with potentiality, the Scorpio moon feels heavy.  The new moon offers us a chance to look deeper into these vulnerabilities, often in a way that makes us feel out of control.

This loss of control is the medicine itself- facing the difficulties is the key to surrender, the nectar of Scorpio.  The lunar house of Anuradha, in the middle of Scorpio, is one of filled with devotion.  It is the sweet spot within all that seems beyond our control where we are asked to loosen our grip, and lean into the bonds of friendships and commitments, and faith that there is divine protection guiding us.

After this new moon, on November 27th Saturn goes direst after almost 4 months of its retrograde movement.  Saturn as our planet of responsibility, makes us look at the places we feel stuck, in particular with our motivation and discipline.  The upcoming direct motion is an opportunity to move forward with a sense of renewal for our long-term goals and the places in life where effort is the key to our success. Saturn will be direct in Pisces until the end of July 2026.  Pisces as the last sign of the zodiac is about inspiration and idealism.  Saturn’s direct motion there over the next 8 months gives us a new opportunity to merge diligence with that which lights us up.

If you’d like to know more about how these movements apply to your personal birth chart, reach out for a consultation.

Love and Blessings,

Mrin
