Full Moon in Scorpio

Happy Purnima!

This Full Moon culminates in the sign of Scorpio in the lunar house of Jyestha on June 14th at 4:51 am PDT.

Full moons are considered like a cup overflowing.  The moon rules the emotions and when moon energy is at its height it can cause a disturbance of excess.  Though strong when full, the stability craving moon feels insecure and unsettled in the transformative sign of Scorpio, which can tend to heighten emotions even more and add to mental fluctuations.

Prepare for the possibility of feeling mentally restless and unsettled over the next few days, and let it pass.  The tumultuous nature of Scorpio, which is ruled by the fiery Mars, can make us feel the strong impulse for reaction.  Mercury’s glance on the moon can quicken the process even more.  It’s a good idea when we feel this impulse to take a breath and try not to fall into the emotional storm of the darker sides of Scorpio.  Jupiter is also glancing at the moon, so remember to call in the Guru or the higher power to return the equilibrium.

The following day, the 15th here in California, is Sankranti, the day the Sun changes signs.  It is said that whatever we do on that day we will have to do again, so choose your activities wisely!  It’s a good day to take the day easy if you can.

Though June and July are pretty astrologically calm, we will have some big shifts in August.  Do reach out if I can help you navigate in any way!

Love and Blessings,
